Mindy Fitterman studied Textiles and Clothing (Colorado State University, Bachelor of Arts, 1973), and nutrition (Colorado State University, Bachelor of Science, 1978) leading to a 35-year career in public health. Her art explorations continued in graphic design, collage, painting and textiles. She studied with Jane Dunnewold in the Art Cloth Mastery Program (2014-2016).


Fitterman has exhibited at the New Hampshire Institute of Art (1999), Vermont Quilt Festival (2008), Kimball Jenkins Estate (Concord NH, 2010), On and Off Fredericksburg Road Studio Tour (San Antonio, 2016). She was invited to exhibit work at the International Quilt Festival Houston (November 2016) as part of the group exhibit Ten Voices from One: Work by the Art Cloth Mastery Program 2014-2016. As a member of the Seacoast Area Fine Artists (SAFA) she exhibited in their Not Written in Stone group show (August 2022).
 
Her virtual quilt, Out on a Limb, is in 500 Art Quilts: An Inspiring Collection of Contemporary Work (2010). Fitterman’s artworks are held in private collections in the United States and Europe.
